SD and CF card suddenly not recognized when installing software

I've had my x50v for 3 years now and never had a problem loading software. Last night I had to switch to a new computer and the easiest way seemed to be to start from scratch and delete the programs from the pda before reloading them on the pc and then the pda. Everything was going well until I went to load the programs on the pda. There is not enough system memory to save my programs so I usually save them to my cf card. Unfortunately, when I try to save to either the cf or the sd they are listed as unavailable. The pda still recognizes the cards as I can still access the pics and things I have stored on them. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? Neither switches have been locked and no settings have been changed. I even did a hard reset in case some setting was inadvertantly changed. I also tried it on my old computer and the same "unavailable" message still came up. So I'm starting with a blank slate pda and no programs but activesync loaded on my pc. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Have you tried taking the cards out, soft resetting the AX, then reinserting the cards. I had an SD card I had to do that with periodically. :(

Can you use the Explore function of AS and view the cards?

Also, you realize some programs will not load to a memory card?

Thank you so much for your help! Unfortunately, the soft reset did not do the trick. Yes, AS explorer and my PDA will recognize the cards, just not any software. This software has been loaded onto these same cards 2 times before, so I don't think that that's the problem.

Anyone else have any ideas? I'm beginning to get pretty desperate.

Thanks.
