WM5 woes lost CF and ROM memory
I just spent an afternoon upgrading my 2005 Axim 50 to WM5.0, which I purchased on Ebay
Now:
The PDA won't connect unless I restart the computer
The CF card memory is not recognized, just the SD card
The Built in storage memory is absent.
What can I do now?
Thank you Thank you Thank you

You might just need the fake server trick to fix the other problems.

First, no built in storage in WM5.

Secondly, are you running the A02 version of WM5? If not, update the system (files available from Dell support site) and do the fake server hack. Under A01 (the version that installs from the Dell upgrade disk and is very buggy) you'll lose the CF card most of the time, having to reset the machine to recognize it. Many have problems with syncing as well.

Backup any important data before starting this as the machine will hard reset during installation.
