problem started when I was having some screen protector trouble so i removed protectors and couldn't align screen. i opened up the pda to clean up digitizer and saw some pencil marks on graphics chip, i erased the and now screen wont work. couldnt find out why but im thinking this did it. im totally screwed here. any suggestions would be appreciated.

Second - Sounds more like something didn't get connected right when you put it back together. Check out this thread to make sure you did everything. :exc:
