Welcome to the site and Merry Christmas (if you celebrate it)!
Can you provide more details about the problem? What happens when you press the power switch? Have you tried AC power? (USB ports don't provide enough power to power up a very discharged Axim battery.)

Charging light is a good sign does it power up when connected to usb power? Did you try a soft/hard reset?

Lock switch= Hardware switch on the left side of the axim, slides up and down to lock the axim. Should be down with no red showing.
Soft reset= Small hole in the back of the axim with a button inside. Push button with the tip of the stylus. Works like rebooting a computer.

Take a look at this thread about the power requirements and the problem with USB charging:

It is my understanding that USB charging does not provide enough power when the unit is ON (especially when the battery is dead). Do you have an AC adapter? If so, plug it in before you attempt to power it on. If not, just let the device charge using USB for a few hours and then try powering it on.

Yes, just leave it charging using USB and then try again after a few hours. The orange light means that there is power going through it but it is not fully charged. A green light means fully charged. A blinking light may reflect a problem with the charging (i.e., alternating power on and off) OR may be a warning or alarm of some sort.
