I'm having issues with this, nd it's not software related.
It's also not a flash card.
"Unrecognized Card"
Then the prompt with "Network card in Socket 2"
No matter what I do from this point, I cannot enable the WLAN. Soft reset didn't fix it.
HARD reset didn't fix it.
Already running the most recent ROM.
Anyone have any luck fixing this issue?? If I can't use wireless this unit is pretty useless.

Have you tried my suggestions which work for me every time. Unfortunately, placing/removing the AXIM from the crdle resets this fix and soft reset is again required; but if you don't use the USB cable and remember to turn off BT before turning off power, you should be able to use both WiFi and BT together. Remember to set up Odyssey to help get WLAN started AFTER Wireless power is shut down by hard button.

Hi guys.
I have also experienced the same problem and I am afraid there is nothing you can do. It has to do with windows and the way they deal with memory. Apparently windows 2003 can load a certain number of drivers in memory on startup. So if you have some heavy programs like battery pack pro or journal bar windows won't load both the bt and wireless drivers. Doing a soft reset will load one of the two the next time. If you unistal some of your today resident programs you will find that everything works normally again. I think the IT people in OmegaOne know more about the issue. I hope my post was of some help.

Battery pack removed - problem solved.
I just bought my X50v and soon encountered this problem.
I tried everyting and getting rid of Omega Battery Pack pro took care of the problem immediately.
I still have Skype, Pocket Hack Master and Journal Bar - with no problems.
Does anyone had this problem with X30?
Alex.

I just received my Axim X50V and am also getting the BT error. It happened after installing SPB Pocket Plus and Pocket Weather. I have these two plugins running on my X30 for 6 months with no problems. Also having problems with the Switcher bar not showing up.
After reading all the problems there seem to be with the X50V and already experiencing them myself, I think I will send it back and stick with the X30H until things settle out with the X50V or it's successor.

I got rid of Battery Pack as well and my problem has all but disappeared! This actually made my x50 speed up considerably. I installed the newest Journal Bar and it seems to be working great for me.

I've had issues but it comes and goes. I fix it by doing a soft reset and drive on....

I had the problem without any programs like batterypack. A hard reset to A02 with a clean install of everything fixed it.

I had the same issue with BPP. It is currently not installed on my Axim X50v and it works fine...so far.
You can still use the WLAN with BPP, but it has to be done manually.
Not really interested in reinstalling BPP and having this problem; but may flash back to older ROM to use this software.

Just a thought to those who are having trouble. I too received the no driver in socket II etc error and the lack of memory error for blue tooth. It was definitely not a today plugin problem for me (I have weatherpanel, wisbar advance 2, PItoday, ilaunch and quick quotes). After fiddling around with it, my machine almost always behave consistantly in the following fashion: I can turn on only wifi or bluetooth but not both. When I try to turn on bluetooth after wifi, the memory error appears and if I try to turn on wifi after bluetooth the no driver found error appears. These cases appear even if I ran them right after a soft reset.
Out of curiosity, I turned on wifi using the menu, but before it is completely on (ie when the cursor is rotating, I quickly went today and turned on bluetooth. Surprisingly, no errors! I'm getting the blue, green alternating light indicating both are running. Then when I use the button to turn on now, it turns on both. Just thought to share with you all; maybe it might work with yours too! Good luck!

After having my device work fine for first month or so I now get the wifi error and the bluetooth error. I know there are many on here that say this is NOT a hardware issue. However, after just one email to technical support regarding this and mentioning I had upgraded to ROM A02 I got the following response:
----------
Thank you for contacting Dell Technical Support.
After following all the troubleshooting steps we come to know that Axim
needs to be replaced. But, before doing we require some information from
your side.
Please provide verification of the following information:
----------
If this is not a hardware issue why is Dell so quickly sending out replacements right off the bat?

Well, don't know if anyone has noticed this.
I cannot turn on BT or WiFi if I have enabled other SIP than the windows built-in ones. Ofcourse soft-reset sets back the default keyboard and I can enable BT and WiFi.
Can anyone else confirm that?
