How about a category for "Seen it but so what? It's no trouble to soft reset."

Point is that you shouldn't have to soft reset.

Soft resetting isn't a viable solution. Especially if you use both BT and Wifi extensively during the day.

Can we all compare version of the drivers used, perhaps the ones not experiencing any issues are running newer ones? Anyway my troublesome 50v is as follows:

I think you really should have, "Yes, I have seen it, but it is a minor problem for me personally". I use Wifi a lot, BT only every now and then. I guess that it would bother me if I used BT more.

here is the fix

I had the same problem and read a fix on another site for iPaq, and it seemed to have solved the problem for me.

Make sure you don't have any today-page plug-in. Some plug-ins will expand into the memory address of the wifi or bluetooth device driver, thus causing the wifi/bt to fail.

I had pocket music's today page plug in and spb pocket plus. I uninstalled both and haven't had problems for a few days.

This has happened 2 or 3 times and has corrected itself (leaving me with no idea why it happened or how it fixed itself.)

Anyone have any clues as to what's going on?

(I left this message on the Dell Boards. . .it appears that I'm not the only one experiencing this problem. If I get an answer I'll post it here.)

Thanks.

AMEN! @ "SHOULDN'T HAVE TO"

Simply because they are both ONBOARD FEATURES of the X50v. I have a hard time believing the Dell Engineering Dept never tried turning both on at the same time...

As an analogy:
I don't think anyone would want to soft-reset everytime they wanted to access File Explorer while MediaPlayer was running (and kill WMP in the process...)

I have over 7MB in both program and storage even when running a bunch of stuff.

I'm guessing there is a reserved amount of memory for drivers and other startup stuff that is being exceeded!?

Why? Soft resets fix a lot of problems with errant software. They are a fact of life. I soft reset at least ten times each day. It's not a big deal.
