Active sync launches a program after syncing, how do I stop it?

Every time I sync my PDA now wolfclock.exe automatically launches once the sync is complete. I have uninstalled the program and now I get the error that it cannot find the file. I have searched the registry for any occurances of this file name with no luck. Any ideas on how to get it to stop launching this program? Thanks

I don't think this is an AS issue - you may have a .lnk file in your start-up folder.

On your device go to Windows>Start up> and see if there is a link to wolfclock there - if so delete it and your problem should go away.

Hmmm... well the program tries to launch EVERY time active sync goes, if I delete a task on my desktop, I get the file saying it cant find wolfclock.exe if I add a contact, I get the error again, anytime active sync launches, when it's done, I get the error.

So I assume that there was no link in the start-up folder?

As Wolfclock is a today plug-in got to
Start> Settings> Personal Tab> Today> Items

And see if it is ticked there - if so uncheck it.

Sorry about that, correct it was not in the start up folder and it is not on the Start> Settings> Personal Tab> Today> Items screen, it is definately somehow linked to syncronisation somehow.

Have you done a soft reset since you uninstalled it (I am also assumiong that it doesn't appear in the Add/ Remove programmes in ActiveSync - as you say you have uninstalled it).

WolfClock.exe is gone!!!

Hi

I had exactly the same problem as you, and 'till a few seconds, I solved it.

The solution is real stubid and I was also enerved as you for more than a half year! But the hints on this quote made me try several things...

Do this:
Re-Install WolfClock again (yes, do it). And then be careful not to select any "AutoLoad" Option, expectially on "ActiveSync Complete". After that, just remove the application again and... that's it.

It worked on my Qtek 9090

Good look
