Okay, I'm trying to dial out on a Sony Ericsson t37. I have the devices paired but I'm not sure if there is something else I need to do to dial out.

I've set up Pocket Informant to dial via BT UART comm 5. But when I select the number I want to dial, my Ax just goes to the journal screen and my phone doesn't do anything.

I wanted to try BT dialing on this phone, if it works maybe I don't need to spend anymore $$ upgrading to the V551.

Any help would be great.

Does anyone really want to talk on the X50v short of something like Skype and a bluetooth headset?
No one wants to talk on the x50, just dial from it via Bluetooth. I use my x50 all the time, work and play, and I have over 150 contacts. It is highly annoying to have to look up these contacts on my x50, then get out my phone, then dial the number, then put everything away, especially since I have a BT headset as well. If I could dial via Bluetooth, I would only have to look the contact up via Voice Command and press "Dial via Bluetooth" and never even touch my phone.

How did you get this to work on your v600? What applications? Settings? Be specific as possible if you can...

How exactly did you get this to work? I have PI and I paired my v551 and when I dial a number, nothing happens.

Edit----
Nice... Just tried it with the iPaq dialer and it worked!

Mine does strange things... When I dial, PI automaticaly skips to the juornal screen, but the phone would not dial. After closing the Journal Screen I saw a BT messages asking which phone to choose to dial. Bizzare.
I guess more play time is required.

Good Night!

Dialing out through PI to a Bluetooth phone and using a BT Headset is amazingly fun!

I think I'll try it with Voice Command tonight to see if that makes it even cooler...

Yeah, I disabled the journaling crap on outgoing phone calls. Just gets in the way.

Dailing via Bluetooth IS amazingly fun! One thing I found with Voice Command, though... is that unless you install it on a PPC Phone, it doesn't respond to phone commands... also the built-in contact phone numbers aren't linked so even if you "Show" a contact, still can't dial from that screen....

I have an x51v, and a motorola i580 that connect, but won't dial. I'm using the vmobile buetooth dialer, and a moderator on vmobile's forum says that the dialer is not compatible with Nextel's iDen protocol. Any ideas on what type of dialer I can download and use with iDen?
