Axim x50 can't read internal memory

After downloading a game to my CF card I decided to move it to my internal memory. Subsequently upon playin the game my system crashed. A soft reset wouldn't work so I did a hard reset. Upon completion of the hard reset the Dell will not read the internal memory any more. It will read the 64Mb of RAM and all of my flash cards okay, but for some reason the 128Mb of ROM is gone and will not be recognized. I called Dell and they are sending me a replacement. However, I was wondering if anything liked this has ever happened to anyone else. Obviously I won't be copying any games to my internal storage again. Thanks for your help.

Copying is possible but it's best to just install it there in the first place using Activesync.

Internal ROM, Built-in Storage, or BIS as it's commonly called here has been known to disappear but it's usually the result of user error not a bug or manufacturing defect.

So, how do we get it back? I just realized mine is gone. And, I have not installed much on my device. All I have is MemBattTime, PocketNEster and the 2 free games that came with it...

I called Dell and they sent me a replacement. It has been working fine ever since and I have been useing the same game. It is pretty weird that my memory did disappear.

You can try the hard reset trick. Do a hard reset (hold down power button and poke stylus in soft reset hole at the same time), but cancel it when asked to confirm the action. You should not lose any data but do a backup just in case. ;)
