Pocket Word Problem
Hi Everyone,
I have been reading the posts for about a week, and decided to join in.
I am on my second Axim X50v. When I received my first Axim, it had a few bugs in it, and I figured them out, but then I lost all sound. I called Dell and they sent me another one. It is perfect except for one thing -- Pocket Word.
This is what happens. I open PW, and am shown All Folders, and every file in PW. When I click on All Folders, I am shown a list of all my folders, but when I click on one of them, I am taken back to All Folders and a list of every file. :rolling:
I have tried a soft and a hard reset, and neither helped. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I never tried it before, but I have the same problem. I'm on the A02 ROM, so it must be a bug they haven't fixed yet...

I had that problem a couple of times too. Since A02 I haven't had it.

The only folder that cycles me back to the All Folders is the bottom one. Below that is "More Folders," which shows more folders.

That was a good spot Jake. It turns out any folder on the SD Card cycles back to "All Folders", but folders under My Documents in main memory work as expected.
I wonder if there is a replacement for the "open file" dialog that works with PW. I have the "File dialog Changer" installed, and it gives me a much better "Save As" dialog in PW, but doesn't fix the "Open" dialog.

You're right :exc: I hadn't checked that. My folders under My Documents do open correctly. Unfortunately, almost all of my folders are on my SD Card.
Has anyone contacted Dell and ask about this?

Well, I contacted Dell. The rep. kept me on the telephone forever trying to figure out what the heck was wrong. She kept putting me on hold while she looked up information. She decided it was a compatability issue between my SD card and the Axim. She told me to back up my SD card, go to www.cnetx.com and download flash format 2.6.
I formatted the SD card, put everything back on the SD card and -------------it didn't help. I still have the same problem.
I even took the plunge and upgraded to A02. It didn't help.
The Rep. asked me to email her telling her how it went. She was positive the reformatting would cure it. I'll see what she says now.
