Incorrect Memory

I deleted a folder from my compactflash card that had about 300 mb of mp3s. But it's still taking up space even though it's been deleted and isn't on the card. Is there any way to fix this without reformatting? It's a 512 mb Sandisc card.

If you deleted the folder under Windows and have Symantec/Norton software installed (i.e., a Norton Protected Recycle Bin) it may save backup copies of the files until you instruct Norton to purge them. In Windows XP, right click on the Norton Protected Recycle Bin and select "Empty Norton Protected Files" for the CF drive.
