built in memory renamed?

I did a search and didn't find a reference to this so if I missed it I apologize.

My built in memory has been renamed to built in memory 2 and all program referecnes show as they are not installed. If i use file explorer to the renamed directory I can run the programs

what is the easiest way to fix this? what caused it? pls say I'm not the only one who it happened to! :)

I had this happen to me last night as well ! The was just one file
int Built-in memory - I deleted that and tried to rename memory2
to memory. It did not let me do this. However on the next soft reboot
it did the rename by itself.

I still had to play with the registry to clean up quite a few
programs that I had installed.

Just do a soft reset and check if the Built-in memory is OK.

Try to do a more detailed search of the forums. I saw someone else with this problem a month or more ago.

I've had this happen, but I don't use the built in memory.
Two solutions:
1) stop using build in memory
2) soft reset

I ended up doing a hard reset, like the memory i freed up by doing so anyway.

Strange -- I had the same exact thing happen on the weekend. I did a hard reset and it's OK now, but have no idea how it happened.
