"Clicking" sound on internal speaker

Hi.
I don't really know if this is a "hardware trouble" or if it's normal, but it kind of bothers me a bit...
Whenever a sound is played on my Axim (it's an Axim X50v), the first thing I hear is a "click" coming from the speaker. It's a "hardware" click, I mean that it comes from the unit, not an installed program.
It does it the first time a sound is played. If another one is played right after, or if it is a continuing sound (an MP3 for instance), no clicking is heard. But if there is a gap between the sounds it does it every time.

The most easy way to hear it is playing "jawbreaker" (one of the games that comes with the Axim). When I select a group of balls and make it disappear I hear the click and then the sound made by the game. If I make several groups disappear quickly one after another, it sounds OK. If I wait between each move, the "click" happens every time.
So, am I paranoid? Is it a normal sound behaviour?
Thanks!

I don't really think this is something to worry about. Once all the noise coming out of my x50v's speaker was like that, not just when the sound first plays. It tends to do that when the battery gets really low. I charged it up and the same thing happend, so I removed the batter, put it back in, and did a soft reset. That did the trick.

In my case it does the sound even when the battery is charged at 100% (even when the Axim is in the cradle).
I tried a soft reset, but I still have the same thing...

No, I was talking about what happend to me. I was just talking about if the axim also makes a clicking sound even when you are already playing music. All of the sound coming out of the speaker in MY CASE (battery being too low) would be static, and crackally.
In YOUR CASE I don't think you should worry about it.

Yeah, I can hear the click while playing jawbreaker too, and sometimes other programs, I think its normal. I can only notice it when on battery and with headphones or external speakers. My best guess is that the sound chip turns off (or goes on standby or something) when not used, and makes a slight click when it powers back up.

Thanks for your explanation.
I guess it does have something to do with the sound chip turning on and off, but I wasn't sure if there was something broken on the internal speaker.

Now I know it's only annoying, and not broken :)

Well, my explanation is just a guess; I really don't have any facts to back it up. But I don't think the click is anything to worry about.
