Innopocket case lid button pushing buttons on x50v.
i know this was mentioned before by other memebers, but i also found that the innopocket mag case, when closed, pushes on the direction pad + the action button (middle button). will this cause any sort of damage over time? i dont quite know if it is applying a constant pressure, or just a quick one when the case is pressed closed. please let me know if anyone else has any info. thanks.

I had the same (plus the paint fade issue, I must be unlucky...)
I sent a mail to Innopocket about that, and this is the reply I got from mag@innopocket.com:

I'll let you know when (and if !) I receive a new one. It seems to me they sell this -otherwise- great case before fully testing and fixing it...

same paint problem here, i dont care about that as much, paint doesnt mean much to me, but having something that is suppose to protect your hardware shorten it's life is something i have a problem with. i emailed them as well, hopefully the version they send me will have a fix for the button problem as well as the paint. i looked at it, all the really need to do is make that semicircle underneath the lid not covered by the neoprene even larger, it is the edge of that semicircle or the neoprene that is mashing in the buttons, they just need to cut a bigger semicircle. they probably didn't turn their tester on once, or atleast not use an application that would be senstive to d-pad movements while the lid is closed.

Does anyone know if they are redesigning the case so it won't press on the button?

how many people actually recieved thses cases already, and how many of them have this button pressing problem?
Should be either some or most.
Has anyone received a replacement case yet, to fix this problem?

My case has the same problem. I contacted Innopocket. Innopocket quickly replied and promised to send me a replacement. But I have not received the replacement yet. I think it may be due to a very tight design problem. There is simply little space between the cover and the x50v oval control panel. I asked Innopocket to re-design the case so that there will be more room there. Hopefully, the replacement will have the new design. On the other hand, my case may be among a few of those defective cases? I think that a poll will help to figure this out. You can determine whether your case has the problem or not by simply closing the cover and pressing the lower half of the cover while the x50v is playing music. If the case has the problem, the music will either stop and/or the volume will be pushed to the maximal level, depending on where you press the lower half of the cover. But after you stop pressing the cover, the music will re-start with/without the volume pushed to the maximum.

Man I need to read the forums more. I ordered mine last week. I haven't been charged for it yet, but hope I get the new redisigned one with a better paint then the ones you guys talk about. I also hope I get it soon. I waited to buy a case looking for a good one, and I thought this look the best. I hope it is.
