Bluetooth device screws up WiFi?
I am sorry if this has already been covered in a previous post. I did a search but did not come up with anything, so if this is a repeat, just ppint me in the right direction. . .
I got Wifi to work with my wireless connection at home, finally. I was able to also add a BT headset and it still worked, now after I have installed another BT device - Hiacom slipper for GPS, the dang thang won't work (wifi). :bang: I have soft reset, uninistalled the slipper, soft reset again - nothing. :realmad: I now that BT devices can be used with wifi, since i used the headset last night while searching the web on my Axim.
Is there some kind of hack that can be used to resolve this instead of a hard reset? PLEASE say there is and I just missed it somewhere

Other than, "the dang thang won't work," what symptoms and errors are you seeing? Is the light blinking green and blue? Is the router showing anything for you?

I am sorry, I should have been more clear, I am jsut frustrated.
When I push the "enable wireless" button and then look in the configuration setting of the WLAN utiluty, there is nothing, the site tab shows the status as "driver not loaded". When I look in Odyssey client, the status shows the adpater not present, network and access point - not associated. If I scan, the network is not found and the light blinks blue. The network is configured, but it is not being recognized.
Thanks :)

Blue light = BT, green = WiFi
Manually stop BT (not with the side button, but using the lower right corner of the screen) and then manually start WiFi. The side button will start whichever wireless protocol you used last.

Okay, stupid question - "how do I manually atart and stop wifi?"
The odyssey client is Enabled and the wlan utility is ON. okay, I answered my own question, but wifi is not turning on.

If you've loaded too many programs into main memory, you may be having a memory issue. Bluetooth and WiFI will work together, but only if you've got the free memory. I'll make a guess and say you used the default installation for GPS software and it dumped it into main memory, leaving you with very little to run both wireless functions.
In Settings/System/Memory, how much program memory is free with Bluetooth enabled? Also, unless you need it, turn off the Odyssey client. If the icon is still shown on the lower bar, it's still loaded (sucking up memory).

Why do you have Odyssey enabled? You don't use it if you use the Dell WLAN utility. Both BT and Dell WiFi can be started/stopped under Start/Settings/Connections.
