Trust Bluetooth Mouse MI-5300M

I've just bought a Trust MI-5300M bluetooth mouse to go with my
X50V. It is recognised by the bluetooth, but not as a compatible device.

Help!!

I understand that some software may have to be loaded onto my pc (running XP home SP2) in order to allow this to happen.
I've looked at trust's website and there are currently no drivers for this mouse.

I've contacted the tech support dudes, and will post their reply if it is helpful.

OK so I should have bought the 'think outside' bluetooth mouse for £50.I like the look of this one better, and it's slightly smaller. But I haven't been forced to get the think outside one (yet) so does anyone know any software/solutions to this problem?? I'd be MOST grateful for any advice/witty sarcastic comments that make me laugh.

Cheers,

Russ :approve:

p.s. there's a company in the States that upgrades the memory from 64MB to 128MB on board - anyone used them? Any good?

p.p.s the ******* 'Power On' print on my X50v and the 'Mail' button have rubbed off. Did this happen to you? Did you bother to replace it?

Hy RussJ,

I´m sorry but the thinkoutside mouse is the only mouse that will work with your X50v (at the moment)!

I got a logitech mx900 bluetooth mouse, and i'd like to use that with my x30, but apparently there aren't any generic mouse drivers available for windows mobile

Although this may be a stupid idea, can someone try this? http://www.frogpad.com/Support/default.asp they say its a bluetooth HID driver and mice use HID drivers so maybe... it might just work for that product but thats what I can find when I search for generic BT HID drivers.

It detects the keyboard, and knows it's a HID device, but I can't get any further than that...it might be just a Thinkoutside thing...if anyone has a BT mouse they can give me...lol

Thats good news - I tried the other way round - thinkoutside drivers and logitech mouse and it didnt work, so it seems likely that it IS a thinkoutside abnormality :)

transcout, could you download the drivers from the link above, and try it out with your logitech BT mouse? The other way around - thinkoutside drivers and logitech mouse definitely won't work - due to thinkoutside...but I'm hoping this will...

I did not use them for the memory upgrade, but I can say that I bought from them a different product and they were wonderful to work with. I highly recommend them

Yeh, sort of...
I put the new screen in a few minutes ago (those guys at pdasmart are amazing, 2/3 days from ordering to recieving, in UK!), and I installed the Frogpad HID2GO app. I search for bluetooth devices, and it finds the mouse.. Then it says... checking to see if device is HID, and it says YES.
Heh now I am excited cos I think it's going to work, but alas, when it tried to 'bond' with the mouse, it just stops and says 'disconnected from device' :<
Anyway, I emailed frogpad, and they say; "The drivers are not for a mouse. They are bluetooth specific drivers
for keyboards."
