Power button flashes green all the time

My X50 started acting buggy today. It frooze when some reminders popped up. I finally got them to go away, but now every time I open a new program (outlook, calculator, anything) then close it the screen looks like the program is still open. The swithcer bar does not work either. Can someone please help!

I see you are fairly new so I have to ask: have you done a soft reset yet? If not then do it, it doesn't cause any loss of data.

I have had it for about 6 months now, and it just started acting up last week. It starts when outlook reminders pop up. How do I do a soft reset? After my second post it started doing it again!

stick the stylus in the little hole on the back above the battery. it has a symbol above it that looks like a circle with a V in it. hope that fixes it!
:)

Any ideas on why this happens? I had to do a hard reset last week and that is the forst problem I have ever had with it.

there is a hole on the rear of the unit. take the stylis and push it in there and release. It will reset but not deleted any data, like doing a cont-alt-del on a pc. to do a hard reset you also hold in the power button while you poke in the hole but that will delete everything except for the built in storage (bis) and reset the pda back to the original setup. You would want to do a backup before doing a hard reset.
edit: Had to jump on another problem in the middle of this reply and see that a few others had answered in the mean time.

I think the flashing light means you missed an alarm. When you set an alarm, there's many ways for it to indicate...flashing power light is one of them.

Edit to add: It will probably continue to flash until you acknowledge or dismiss the alarm (although you should also get a pop-up window).
