sandisk SD card not recognised in x50v or reader

Hi guys

yep it is one of those days.

ok firstly i apologise if this has been brought up somewhere else but i did serach and tried some suggestions but nothing.

i recently upgraded to the ao3 rom and everything is good except my 1gb sd card was not recoginised afterwards. no matter what i did soft reset my x50v just would not recognise it being there....

i thought thats ok i will buy a card reader and format it that way and then stick it back in my x50v but no.
the card reader works fine becasue i tested it with other cards(cf1). i installed all the drivers for the card reader but when i install the sd card in the reader and double click on the removeable media it is in ...............nothing happens the window open just hangs (not the computer).
i tried going through dos and typing 'format ( driveletter: )'but it just says cannot access.....

so any ideas?? please?

sorry i got a sandisk 1gb

Per chance, is the card's write-protect tab set to the lock position?

Hate to say it, but if neither your Axim nor your SD Reader will recognize it, sounds like you have a bad card. That or the file system is so corrupted, it can't read the card.

by the way for anybody else who reads this:

this is the exact reason why you should format the card like the article on formatting says.
