Alignment problems, customer made?

I have my Axim X50v on it's way to my home.

I read the threads regarding the screen alignment problems, some have had, and I'm concerned.

I contacted two different reps at Dell. Both said it is a customer care (or not) issue and does not happen with the right care.

One said, it has to do with dirt and screen protectors.

Is this wide spread enough to worry? Or has Dell sold huge quantites and only the few folks with problems are posted here?

Do the majority of users, use screen protectors?

I hope its safe to assume that majority users do use screen protectors.

If you have a screen protector on, remove it first and then realign and see if the problem persists. If it does, contact Dell and ask that they fix the problem.

doh just re-read and understood that your just inquiring. I wouldn't worry too much about it yet till you receive ur x50v and test it out. When mass producing stuff, sometimes there just isnt enough QAing done by Dell.

Thanks! I have always used screen protectors and was surprised to here the rep at Dell suggest that you don't

Does anyone have a particular brand they like or brand they don't like?

I've heard mixed reviews on the boxwave
