What type of computer are you connecting it to? Are you using a USB Hub between the PC and the Ax?
Some PC's don't have enough output as far as electricity goes through the USB ports, which will stop it from charging the Ax. This is typically with laptops, or devices that have a VIA USB host controller (you can find out by going into Device Manager and expanding the USB section of your hardware).
Typically, laptops will not put enough power out to charge external devices. If this is the case, get a powered USB hub (It MUST be a powered USB hub, and you want to make sure that it has a switch which allows you to tell it to draw power from the 120 on your wall).
Also, do you have any other USB devices connected to the PC at the same time? If so, disconnect them and see if the Ax charges. Remember, it will be slow and after 7 hours, the Ax will automatically stop charging, forcing you to unplug it and plug it back in to continue.
