I apologize in advance if this question has already been submitted and answered. I could not find it so I decided to start a new thread.

Every time I press the new button in the lower left corner my X50v freezes up. This used to work I do not know when it stopped working I just tried to use it the other day and it froze the unit up. I uninstalled all the programs I no longer use so I only have a few programs that came after the unit.

I upgraded from rom AO2 to A03 with the hope this issued would be solved. That didn't resolve the issue. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.

You wouldn't happen to have it assigned to anything else, would you?

When you did the ROM upgrade, did you restore your programs/settings back? If you did, you may have restored back the problem. Try doing a hard reset with no restore/program installation to see if the button works. Also, do you have anything installed in BIS? A hard reset or ROM upgrade will not touch this. You may need to delete the contents in there to see if that helps.

Thank you for the help. I decided that since I have very little on this at this time and I could locate my serials it may be best to just hard reset and reinstall. I think your right about the back up recorrupting. Thanks again. I wish I new what caused this in the first place.

Try going into Settings/Personal/Menus and go to the tab New Menu. Take a look at the options and see if you have any which are to programs which are not installed. If so uncheck them and see if this makes any difference. I think this is usually caused by invalid shortcuts.

I was just getting ready to do a dang hard reset to fix this problem when I ran across your post and the link to HELP!!!!
