My x50v used to have problems with the screen alignment as well. I recommend trying to align the screen in portrait and then testing how accurate the alignment is by opening notes and drawing lines. Track the point of the stylus relative to where the line is being drawn on the screen. Now try to align the screen in landscape mode and using the notes program to see the accuracy of the alignment. As you do this repeatedly, you will begin to pay more detail as to where you tap with the stylus while aligning the screen, and i think that your screen alignment issue will be resolved with practicing aligning the screen and then testing the accuracy in notes.

My fifth (5!) x50v arrived this week in an attempt to resolve screen alignment issues - won't stay aligned. Hope yours gets fixed with the first replacement!!

Man I have had my X50v for only 3 months, and I am on my 3rd one. I tried all the tricks and it didn't work. The one i am using right now actually works but it is out of align at the left edge, not too big a deal, but I will get another replacement when I got the time.

By the way, I have restored the same backup, and hard reset still not solving the problem, so now I know it's definitely hardware problems on mine.

Good luck

Well I have just been on holiday to Dominican Republic, So I get on the plane armed with my x50v with extra battery ready for fun and games on the 8 hour+ flight.
After about an hour the screen alignment started playing up, so I tried to realign it, then it really played up once i was in the screen alignment mode it would not come out of it and just loop through the alignment procedure so i did a soft reset.

The same happened it just looped throught the procedure so after about 10 resets I then took the plunge on a hard resest, but yet a gain it just looped through the procedure panic and frustration now set in what was I gonna do for the next six hours rely on inflight entertainment

So after several hard resets I was still having no joy so I then had a brain wave try taking the battery out and see what happens, an hour later I replaced the battery and did a hard reset and went through the alignment procedure and this time it worked
Also luckily for me I had a backup file ( a few days old, i backup daily) which is self installing and put my axim more or less back to the way it was
