Screen pressure??!?!

I've used my x50v for over a month and a half now, and when i put little (like resting your finger on it) pressure on the case (no aluminium box just the pda itself) of the x50v on a specific place (marked red with FireworksMX in the picture :)) then whenever i try to tap the screen it registers a tap elsewhere. I think it's caused by my squishy screen that becomes softer when pressed from the side. When there isn't any pressure in that area, there is no problem using the pda. Hope this explains my problem, but i don't know a solution.... Is there a software way to do this (ie decrease screen sensitivity or something) or is it neccesary to open this baby up?

Do you have a screen protector on the Axim?

It might br to close to the screen bevel (or slightly under it) causing any pressure in the indicated area to register as a Tap.

If you do, remove it and try it w/out the protector. If it's OK w/out, then reapply it carefully, keeping it away from the bevel.

I've tried removing the screen protector, with no effect, realigned the screen... no effect. Just curious, anyone else has this problem?

That's sort of like going to the doctor and saying that it hurts when i press here and he says...... don't press there. really though, it sounds like you are going to be sending it back for a replacement. unless you just keep it in a hard case all the time.
