No Wi-Fi Tower after inserting 1 Gig SD Card

Hello, all. I am having a problem. Recently I inserted a 1 GIG (non-sandisk) SD card into my Dell Axim X50 PDA and lost a lot of my settings. My PDA also connects to a private work network and now no longer does that. Lastly, whenever I try to auto enable my wirless connection by pressing the button on the right hand side, an error message appears which looks like this:

"Cannot Connect
Dialed:

The answering modem has disconnected. To check your connection settings and change them if need, tap Settings.

After I tap settings, I get no real help.

Can anyone tell me how to get my WiFi tower back up, and has anyone else had problems using an SD card. The brand name I used was LEXAR. I put the card in while my PDA was on. Was that a no-no?

I'd do a restore...you HAVE got a recent backup, yes? As for putting the card in with power on/off, I've read both recommended here! I used to have the power on, but I'm leaning towards having the power off now.

Did you try a soft reset?
