On my new X50v I regularly loose the ability to enter notes in things like the calender, etc. A soft reset will correct this but of course I have to stop what I'm doing.... kind of a pain. Anyone had this happen to them? Is there a way to fix this? I appreciate any help.

I have a X50V(about a month+ old) with V4
I have been having the same problem too. Always have to do a soft reset in order to enter information into notes in calendar. One thing that I noticed is whenever this happens, the switcher bar is on. So I have tried not turning on the switcher bar and it seems to be working fine now.

My question is if switcher bar is causing the problem, what else can I use to close out the programs? Otherwise, it'll be running continuously and it will drain the battery quicker and use up more memory.

Any suggestions?

I have found to have the same problem entering notes. Besides doing a soft reset and not using the switcher bar does anyone have a fix for this problem?

I just got my Axim today and was both happy to have my little toy and upset that it did not come w/ the USB cradle. I have notified Dell and they are sending one out to me. Unfortunately, I'm deployed to Afghanistan and wanted to download some programs before I head home next week and have something to fiddle with in the airports while I wait. I look so forward to hitting Baltimore airport and sending an email to my wife and son letting them know I'm back in the great USA. This site is great and was a big reason for me buying the Axim.

Don't know how much I can contribute, but the knowledge gained is wonderful.

And I thought I just wasn't smart enough to figure out what Notes did. I patiently await answers.

This happens after you exit notes using switcher bar. The only way to close notes without this happening is going through start,settings,memory,stop all current running programs
