Sorry if this has already been covered in another post. I am new to the X50v and my device i s almost perfect. The one area that I have a problem with is the headphone jack. I have tried 4 sets of headphones with the unit all of which have rendered the same results. If the cord is turned or "tilted" a certian way the sound reverts back to the units internal speaker. Has anyone else had this problem and if so what is the fix? thought I would check here before calling Dell.

Don't Panic!

Call Dell. That shouldn't happen if you just got it. Do your headphones use straight or right angle connectors?

I had my first X50v replaced due to this problem, So maybe there was a bad batch out there. There is also another thread on this forum with others with the same experience. Just call dell and they will replace it after some silly questions like is the mute on or the volume up.
