I just upgradded from an axim X5 to the X50v. I could never go back to a non VGA screen again. That said I use pocket Music for my MP# as I hate how Windows media works. I really hate media player 10.

I had the hard buttons mapped in the x5 to work the volume next/previous track and play/pause.

Try as I might I can not remap the buttons. be it in Pocket player. or even in Media player 10.

is this a Microsoft issue or a Dell issue. Or is it just my dumb luck? I would think I could at the very least remap in media player.

BTW I can remap the buttons for non media/music purposes. such as I have the home key remapped to open the calculator. so this works. it just hate anything music related.

Some apps don't allow you to map buttons. You can always try VITO Button Mapper:
