x50v Problems with Calendar, Tasks & Contacts

Hi
I'm stumped. Brand new Axim. Even after a hard reset when I try to uae the Calendar or Task facility I get an error message

The calendar is critically low on memory and needs to exit to preserve the integerity of your data. The calendar will exit when you tap ok.

When I try to access Contacts the PDA hangs and requires a soft reset.

My memory at this stage is

Storage
Allocated 21.21
In Use 2.32
Free 18.89

Program
Allocated 40.54
In Use 12.48
Free 28.06

Would be obliged if I could have some direction

Regards
CCJ

Can you access Outlook okay on the desktop system that you ActiveSynch with- e.g., enter a calendar and task event okay? Your memory allocations look fine. Since you've already hot reset, you may want to reinstall Outlook (not burdensome- software actually detects previous install and does a repair). The reinstall solved a different quirky problem I had... If nothing else, it's one more thing that you can tell Dell that you tried if you have to call for support. Good luck.

Thanks Charlie 'fraid it didn't work for me. Do you know anything about draining both batteries?
