Running down batteries to wipe slate

Hi

I'm having a problem with the preinstalled Outlook software.

If I power down completely (both batteries) would this allow me to restart with a clean slate?

Can I do this safely?

Thanks for your help

Regards

Or you could do a hard reset.

push the reset button while holding the power button, then follow the on screen instructions.

All data in main memory will be lost btw

Just take the main battery out and wait for about 15 minutes for the backup battery to run out instead if you insist on doing a hard reset that way. Letting your battery drain to force one is not good for your battery. Anything installed in BIS has to be removed manualy, That info survives battery drain.
