MP3 playback in my car

Is there something avalible to connect my Axim 50 to my car stereo? Maybe something similar to the ipod setups, I know i can hook up a tape deck converter but I'm looking for something else? Any ideas?
Thanks,

Depends on what stereo is in your car. If it has aux inputs you can get a cable to go from the Axim headphone jack to the aux inputs. If it doesn't have aux inputs, but has a connection for a remote CD changer, you may be able to get a cable to convert the CD changer connection to an aux input. Lacking either of those, your looking at a tape converter (if it's a tape deck) or fm converter.

The Arkon mount isn't stereo. It's one little speaker is fine for GPS directions, but not the best solution for audio files.

I found a "Virtual Reality Sound Labs" VR3 FM transmitter at the local Sam's Club for about $20. It works pretty good but when I used 40iplay to play mp3/ogg's and set up one of the equalizers for a lower output level, it sounded MUCH better. It has a USB port in the side that is supposed to power the x50v but it's not enough to keep it charged while playing, although it might be the cable I'm using.

An FM transmitter is the easiest way to get a method of playing tunes in the car that I've found.

Is it dc powered? I've read that the battery charged models lose the signal as the batteries decrease in strength?

I bought a seperate car amp that has dual inputs, hooked that upto car stereo, and ax. cost about $80au for a 4x80W rms amp.
then direct connection, much better than fm or BT. I tried the BT adapter, but it's a pain when the BT adapter goes flat, and getting it to authenticate each time you get in the car is a pain.

so hard wired is easy, and sound is the best of all solutions.
