When I got my X50v, I had an extra adapter that fits on the bottom of the Axim, like the cradle synchronizer. Installing this onto the bottom, and taking the charger from the base and plugging directly to the adapter would charge the Axim too.

Not sure if everyone gets the extra adapter or not, but if you did, would of saved you cost of another cradle.

Yes - use the dongle adapter. The Sena expanded case also fits well with this battery.

Holy smokes, that's not as big as I figured it would be!

I just got my 2200 mAh last week and my Sena extended case arrived today (not ten minutes ago) - I'm almost thinking I should have gone all the way for the 3300 mAh, but the whole no fitting in the cradle thing is a deal killer :\

Oh? That's very good news for me. How tight of a fit is it?

One of the reasons why i loved the x5- it was acually made for hands, not just pockets.

So how is the battery life compared to the 1100mah battery?

It's amazing. No need to turn the brightness down or lower the processor speed, just enjoy your PDA and still have plenty of battery left when you get home

That would be me.

I don't recomment the procedure because removing layers of plastic weakens the connector. After about a month of use, it just spapped off. I imagine that it would take even less than that with the added weight of that big battery.

Do you have any ifo about what you did?
I think it would work for me because I wouldn't need to remove too much plastic away since it fits without the battery cover, it's really just few mm.

What tools would you reccommend?

It depends on which part of the cradle you intend to remove the plastic.

Have a look here . I explained exactly what I did.

If you need ro remode only the middle part, it could work, but be very careful to remove ONLY what is needed to fit. In the end, I believe that the lack of support and the added weight of the case are the reason why the connector broke off.

If you have any question, I will be happy to answer the.

It's quite tight at first, especially with a newish case, but certainly NOT a problem. Once the leather softens it will be even easier. There are no cosmetic problems.

Hi All

I got my 3300 today, and it looks and feels great, but it wont charge. So back to Denver it goes. Cases.com responded very quickly with the RMA. So hopfully next week I'll get one that I can use.

So does anyone have any pictures of a cradle mod to fit the 3300 battery case yet?

The 15% discount sold me!

I'm getting one and a case.

Fortunately, between sync via bluetooth or WiFi, I never use the cradle -- couldn't even tell you where it is!

I spend a lot of time on the plane and this will be a big bonus; I won't have to rely so much on the home-brew external battery pack cobbled together from Radio Shack (which still does work great.)

Dare I ask what the term came from? (A reply would no doubt 'date you'. Must been from the baud days!)
