What's the battery life so far?
Could use something like this at class....just switch it out when I get there.

Ha! You got me there! Put it this way, I was using a 300 baud modem when I was 35, and I used to write Z80 assembler when I was 27 :)

I know it's been reviewed on the net somewhere, but it lasts a LONG time -- I can't be too quantitative as I haven't really timed it, but I can watch 'Scarface' or 'Casino' without it making too big a dent... Great battery. As someone else pointed out, it also makes the PPC easier to grip. Wouldn't want it in my trouser or jacket pocket for long though -- it's quite bulky for personal transport.

Ahhhh - the good ol' days. When 4k of ram was a bunch and you could produce programs less than 1k in length that ran like lightning.

I too did Z80 assembly language, and the 6502 on Apples. I sure do miss it.

I am surprised we have not heard from the vendor or the manufacturer of thebattery. I am stunned that it does not fit in the sync cradle. Iam also surprised this is not mentioned on the aximcases site.

Has everyone experienced the same problem?

Greg

Is MSAgent the only one who has gotten one of these?

Has anyone else had this problem?

Thank You,
Greg

No, it doesn't fit in the cradle! It's no big deal -- just use the extra plug that comes with the AC adaptor and it'll connect straight to the charger. If you have to use the sync stand, then change the battery for the session. Or get syncing over BT or WLAN ‹(Q¿Q)›•:*¨¨*:•.‹(Q¿Q)›

thanks grcooperjr, what mode though? power save/normal/full?
and would run time be much different for my x50v? or should it be pretty close to 51?

13.3 sounds a little far though, my 1100 battery drains in powersave / lowest bright in like 2 - 2.5 hours (x50v)

Full power on the processor and no power management Screen at max bright. I started it this am at 5:15 and left it on all day it ran out of battery @ 6:30 this afternoon. Now I was not using it at all but it was connected via BT to active sync and the wireless was on in auto mode.

I’m going to try it again tomorrow and see if I can repeat it..

Well...

I restarted the life test @ 6:30 this am. It is now 9:46 and it is reporting 94% left. I set up the test as follows

Processor on high
wifi on auto
bt on
screen on bright and screen management turnd off
cf & sd cards inserted

This is the same test I did yesterday so we'll see what today brings in battery life.....

Thats pretty insane! I think your using x51v with windows mobile 5 right? maybe thats got a big part of why the battery is lasting so long? sounds to good to be true... anyway thanks for the replies and info! I'm seriously considering one now...
(Oh btw how long does it take to fully charge the battery?)

Well.....
if my clock is correct it is 2:18 pst which should be about 7 hrs of run time. The battery indicator says 48% remaining. I would have to bet that the values would change if it was being used insted of sitting here on and idle. But still.. this is a whole bunch better than the stock 1100 ma.

On another note, the cradle mod is easy to do. I used a Dermal tool and trimed the inside 3/16 of a inch on each side. Fits like a glove in the cradle. Here is the link if you want to see the before and after.

I'm sorry but I did not have any sand paper to clean up the rough edges....
