Yes it is a X51v on this one. I have not tried it on the X50 v yet. As far as the charging goes, I dont really know. It was still charging a midnight last night. So I know it was at least 4 hrs...

Any way for a update on the run test. 5:10 pm pst. Just short of 11 hrs and there is 7% left. I dont think it is going to make the same as yesterday. I wonder what I did different...

Update...

5:30 pm pst and it just hit 4% and the low battery dialog pop up. Also at 10 % the power button flashes on and off amber. I would sumize that being that it just made the 11 hour mark that it wont hit yesterdays mark....

And off it goes... just under 11.2 hrs run time. as configured. it will be interesting to see what the run time is in use instead of idle..

Now just think.... If I wasn’t doing this, I could of been flying... but science prevails

From 0% to 100% took just under 5 hrs for the power button to turn green. 0 to 97 took about 2 1/2 hrs the remaining 3 took the ballance

Hey, I had to open up the cradle to resolder the connector, and there's not much inside the cradle. I'm thinking it should be easy to modify.

It is ver easy to mod the cradle. 3/16 of a inch on both sides just to clear the new battery case....

I am confused.

The blurb says:

"Also fits the battery charging slot on the back of your cradle"

But people's experience on this thread says otherwsise.

Which is correct?

Well.....

I can tell you that with the 3300ma battery with the cover on, will not fit the cradle. The cover at the bottom is just over 1/4 too wide. So to get it to fit, just trim 3/16 of a inch from each side of the cradle. After that all is fine and it fits like a glove.. Also the battery will not fit in the spare battery charger. So if you want to use this battery, your choices are:

Use a sync cable to charge it
or
Mod the cradle

I chose the latter because it works better for me

Can you fit it in the spare battery slot in the cradle without the Axim sititng there? Seems to me that could create a vertical clearance issue.

Nope... The battery needs to be in the direction of the pictures so the contacts can mate if the battery would fit in the slot. The battery is a little more than a 1/2 inch to wide.
