"Also fits the battery charging slot on the back of your cradle. (Made by Mugen Power.)" I guess this is a new version of the battery?

The picture on the site is the exact same Mugen battery & part number that Cases.com sells and the one I have. I guess the picture on there site could be wrong. I also went to Mugen's site.( www.unifirm.com ) They only show the one 3300 ma....

I am confused. Is the battery stepped in shape?
My X50v has less than 1/16th on an inch of space on the ends (non-contact direction) and not much more than that in the other direction. Unless the battery is stepped I don't see how it won't fit in the spare battery spot in the cradle. I can see from the picture of the battery cover supplied that for some reason that have made it wider than the battery (some sort of support casting on the underside of the cover would seem to limit the battery width) so it would be too wide for the cradle slot.
I will have to see what Aximcases.com's return policy is.

If I am undestanding what posters are saying, it is that you cannot charge the battery while it is in your Axim via the cradle because the battery adds too much bulk. The ad says the battery fits in the slot in the back of the cradle. So you simply remove the battery and charge it in the back of the cradle.

Hi Cheryl
The battery will not fit in the charge slot at all, Way to big.(Look at the pictures ) The only thing that works is to remove the cover and leave the battery in the X50/51v and slide it into the cradle. Of course without the cover on, that creates more issues.
Don’t get me wrong, This battery is a god send for both the X50 and the X51. Best thing since sliced bread. All I have to do is to mod the cradle or use a sync cable to charge it. Either one works well. If Mugen comes out with another battery that fits, hey that’s great too

Not a problem.... One of the things I like about this site is all of the vast knowledge that is brought to bare on issues. Not the case on other some other groups I belong too

Wow!Now I understand. This is not at all how it is described on the Lion Battery site. I am very disappointed.
I may still get one but, Aximcases.com should make this issue very clear in their desciption. If the LionBattery.com battery is the same they really should change their description, as it is flat out wrong!

Don’t feel to Disappointed. This is just a little bump in the road. It is very easy to remedy. This battery works very good so far. I am very pleased.
All ya need to do is to mod the cable or get a sync cable like this and your in business..

Hi Folks
I got to give the 3300ma battery a whirl on my X50v with WM5. On two test configured the same as the X51v, it came in a third less at 8 1/2 to 9 hrs. I'm sure if I was using it instead of letting it set idle it would have been less.
So my assumption is that the X51v hardware is enough different that it is a little better than the X50v in the power usage area....
