Mugen MEGA SUPER 3300mAh Battery

I just recieved the 3300mAh battery. The funny thing is I can't charge it :rolling:

It's too large for the chradle, I mean it's to big for the extra charger AND the one used for syncronazation. Now I must search for my travel charger and that could take me the whole day.

Well I have it in the cradle without the battery cover and it seems to be charging but I can't turn on the PDA when the battery cover is off so we'll see tomorrow.

The pros so far, it feels better in the hand for gaming.

Wow, I did not think of that. I thought it would fit in the extra battery slot in the cradle. Hmm, I may need to rethink my purchasing one of those.

Actually I think it might with some modding. I think it wouldn't damage the cradle to cut away some of the plastic.

I need confirmation of that however before I start to cut my cradle.

Do you have a case that fits your Axim with the super battery attached?

Just curious

Thanks MS,

I just found them on cases.com. I will use the 15% coupon for aximsite members and pick one up. Wish they had better color choices though

I took it out of the charger and man it feels good in hand so you no longer "cripple" your hand if you play to long with the d-pad in landcape mode. Although it adds some weight to the device I like it more that way since it stays comfortable in your hands.

Do a search for magnum cases. I read a thread where someone did a modification to their cradle so as to allow synching with the magnum case. I think he used a dremel tool and cut quite a bit of plastic off. Hope that helps

They don't really tell you much, it looks far worse than it actually feels.

Actually MS, I like the way it looks. I thought it would be much, much bigger. I am ordering mine now.

Thanks! :approve:

actually the PDA CAN BE turn on while it's charging and/or connecting to computer thru USB
I did that before I was able to turn on the X50v without the battery cover and then I unplugged it from the cradle and it was still on.

O K

But that really hasn't anything to do with anything in this thread does it? The problem is it doesn't fit into the cradle with the battery cover on and I'm sure not going to remove the cover every time I charge it.

You'd think they would have thought of this when they designed it. Poor planning/design if you ask me.

They might have made it with an x50, non v without a cradle since they only have cables with them.
