I had a heck of a time installing mine. I wish they would tell me which side was the sticky side. I accidently got some dust on the sticky side, and had to wash and reapply it. But after you wash it once, its never the same.

I tried washing one of mine once...I threw it away. These things are hard enough to put on when everything's perfectly clean, they seem to get even more attractive to dust after a wash.

You know what, I haven't even gotten my Boxwaves yet (which is an annoyance in itself) and now I'm fairly convinced I made the wrong choice. Way too many issues with them. Not really washable? Confusion over extra protective strips? Consistently a pain to install? And the jury's still out over the scratchproof-ness. I mean what's left that makes these so much better than WriteShield or Brando? Seems like they don't have any of these issues. In fact, in Brando's case from what I've read, consistently the opposite...very washable and easy to install.
You will enjoy your Boxwave screen protector's. I won't lie and say that installing them is going to be a fun walk in the park or that it will never scratch, but ALL screen protectors by nature take patience to install and may get a scratch during use. I also believe there are no major quality differences in the elite brands such as Brando, WriteShield, and Boxwave. It is mostly personal preference and brand loyalty. They will all last about a year before you see scritchies (with the screen at the right angle) and then it is up to you when the scritchies become to much. Personally, when it is time to sell my Axim so I can get the next model, I am glad to see those scritchies on the screen protector instead of the screen.

I think people are not removing both the bottom(sticky side) and top side covers. The top side cover is removed after you put the protector onto the screen. I've had my Boxwave for over 6 months now, and it is still like brand new. I washed mine once and while it did become sticky while drying, it did gather fine particulates which of course magnify themselves 10 times if caught under protector. I've bought the cheap 10 for $10 before and they last at most 1 week before coming scratched. I've been very happy with my Boxwave Cleartouch Crystal Protectors, and while they do seem a little expensive at $12 for one, I would recommend these to anyone that wants to keep their screen new like the day they first opened it out of the box.
