Quick comparison: Boxwave(Crystal) and Screenguard
I tried both of them recently. I was confused when I bought screen protectors. Some suggested me to go for Boxwave and some suggested me for Screenguardz. Since no one tried both, no one could give me a clear difference between them. That's why I went ahead and bought both. I hope this saves you from the dilemma that once I had. And you can go ahead with the one that best suits you. So, here are some comparisons between them from my experience:
1. Transparency: Boxwave is more clear than screenguardz. screenguardz is also good. But when there is a light reflection screenguardz shows that there is something on the screen. Boxwave is almost invisible, if applied properly.
2. Application: Screenguardz are more easy to apply than boxwave. Since boxwave is sticky, it attracts fibre and dusts. So when applying you should be very careful, even a single particle of dusts can make the screen protecotr look somewhat ugly. On the other hand, screenguardz does not use any adhasive, so its easier to apply, and in case of realignment, you can easily peel and reposition.
3. Writing on screen: If you write a lot on the screen, go for Boxwave. Believe it or not, it makes writing way smoother than the original axim screen itself. On the other hand I really didn't like the feeling when I wrote on screengurdz. It seemed like I am writing on a rough surface, thus making my writing little difficult.
4. Price and durability: Screenguardz are the most affordable screen protectors. You can get 15 screenguardz protectors with the same price that will give you only 1 boxwave crystal. But Boxwave are durable. I have used very roghly, but the boxawave was still as it is. Screenguardz are thinner than boxwave, so they are more prone to scratches than boxwave.
5. Customer Support: Screenguardz has much better customer support and fast shipping than Boxwave.
So, my conclusion is, go for Boxwave if you use your axim roughly. Even though it seems you are paying more, but if you consider the durability and clearness, its worth it.
But if you are occasional user, and you need lots of screen protectors(for your axim, camera, mobile) then you can go for Screenguardz.
I hope this comparison will help you to make your decission.

Note: If you have an Axim and PSP, custom size screenguardz and you can trim a bit off the end to have it fit on the X51V and have them fit the PSP out of the box.

I'm curius about the Screenguardz, mainly because of the low price. I hate paying so much money for a piece of plastic.
But I want to mention the protector I currently use, because it's fantastic. I used one on my Zodiac for years, and it's STILL looking good! I now have one for my x51v too.

These are THE clearest screen protectors I ever saw, and that's also compared to the Boxwave Crystals. They are smooth as a baby's booty, and just really kick ass if you like a clear screen.
But like most top quality protectors, they're expensive and you have to be careful applying them so you get dust trapped underneath. It's also very hard peeling off the protective backing when you get them, because they are so damn thin. But once you get it going, they are awesome.
Highly recommended. Even though I'm tired of paying so much for them, and want to see if Screenguardz may be good enough for me in the future.

Anyone compared any of these with NuShield? I've been trying those - no adhesive, easy to clean and remove but also expensive. I'm just wondering how they would compare to the others....

Current Boxwave user - but......
First - thanks for the review. It's great to get this type of feedback and direction. Second, I really like my crystal clear boxwaves. BUT, I'm going to try the screenguardz. The main reason is that the boxwaves do have bubbles - very tough to get rid of them. Also, I haven't seen the durability. After 5 months the writinig area is all marked up and the stylus drags a lot in that area when writing. Which causes poor writing.
So, for the price, I'm going to try the screenguardz.
