Question Exercise Arm band case for axim?

I was just wondering if anyone out there knows of an arm band case (like the type used for the ipods when exercising) exists for the Axims? I use my Axim as an mp3 player offten when I'm on the treadmill. However when I am running outside or go to the gym I'm afraid to take with me due to a lack of a good case. Thanks for all your help.

Sorry, don't know about any armband product for the Axim.

However, my recommendation is to just use a cheap flash mp3 player for exercise. You can get a 128/256mb good quality flash mp3 player for peanuts nowadays and you won't be risking your shiny Axim during a workout.

What if you wipe out? Fall?

The cost of a decent armband will probably be a significant portion of a flash mp3 player nowadays so why not invest that amount of money into something you don't care if you accidently destroy or not.

Thanks for your reply Bill,

I had thought about the cheap mp3 option. But I really like to utilize my Axim as much as possible. I guess it makes me feel great about owing an Axim whenever I can incorporate it into my daily life such as my workouts. The more I use our multipurpose wonder the more I fall in love with it! Hopefully I don't end up crashing and destroying my Axim. If I do kill it at least it died in use rather then then collecting dust in a draw somewhere. Besides it would give my a good reason to upgrade. ;0)

Thanks again,

Bill

You're welcome.

I admire that you want to utilize your Axim as much as possible. I'm finding that i'm not using it enough to really justify my purchase even though i've bought quite a few accessories for it.

Gotta use it more and integrate it more with my life.

Be creative

I went to to wal-mart and found a cheap camera case that fit great and was not bulky, ..it did not come with a strap but had a loop on the back for a strap or belt, soo i then went to the exersize isle and a nice fitting, durable, neoprene arm brace that is used for arm support for tennis elbow, I put into the small camera case and inserted the Axim, tightened around my bicep with some headphones and have enjoyed it ever since. And I only spent about $6-7! Try something along these lines :approve:

Good idea! As I was reading the initial question, I kept thinking, "I wouldn't want my precious Ax anywhere near my flabby, sweaty arm!"

that's great. I'm one of those that exercises with my axim, and certainly operate with a "use it or lose it" philosophy and my dear ax will probably die in action. your suggestion is great, don't know if i'll go to walmart, but i bet target's got something similar. thanx :approve:

Big Smile Finally Found a Great Armband for the X50!

I've looked everywhere online and in stores, and I was the one above that jerry rigged a camera case and tennis elbow strap..and with the armbands coming out for the nano's it made mine look like an armband from the 50's. I actually found the new armband at Target last night...for 7.99, it's made by Walking Shop by Sportline. They call it a Neoprene Mp3 holder with reflective armband. It looks great and works perfect. It streches when you flex for comfort unlike what I was using, not only does it stretch but is also adjustable for huge or scrony folks. It comes in black or red. The velcro is strong and should not come undone during workout like most armbands for the Ipods. It wouldn't fit with a case on the axim too well but you could try it. I trust my X50v in this armband. It would not be fun to take the axim in and out of the case while working out, so set your playlist on repeat and leave it. It's a unviersal case for mp3 players but in my opinion was made for the axim x50. I was on my way to buy the 1gb nano and armband tommorow because of the lack of armbands to fit the axim, but not now! :approve:

Hope this helps everyone who would like to workout with your axim, with out having to buy an additional mp3 player.

I also made a great workout log spreadsheet to use during my workout, which you can't do with most mp3 players.

God Bless!
