Stupid belt clip
I always use the belt clip with the rhinoskin case for my x50v. Well, within a month I broke the clip, not purposely, but it just broke. Yesturday it got caught on my jacket and just 'snapped'. Where can I get more? They charge online $5a piece, and then $4 shipping! Ridiculous. Anyone where else to purchase them for cheaper?

Mine broke too... I didn't catch it on anything!

Bought a couple more here: http://www.saunders-usa.com/rhinoskin/?brand=7&model=18 Got the more expensive ones hoping they wouldn't break. Don't think anything cheaper wouldn't be cheaply made.

Join the club shank! I think my RS case was 2 days old when mine broke. When I bought a PDAir case to accommodate the extended battery, I decided to leave the dang clip off (it was pretty much the same as the RS case clip). You'd think that someone would be able to build a clip that would last at least a month or two.

Here's what I did when I noticed that my clip was wearing out. I bought a cheap radio shack "clicky type" cell phone case and took the button off the back and glued and screwed it to the back of my Rhinoskin along with a washer to go around the little nub that is on the back. It's a little bulky but it works great and an added bonus is that the button/clip combo makes a good elevator for use on the table. You'll notice I drilled a hole for my reset button too. (not to mention my speaker)

My RS case tends to unscrew all the time leaving the metal piece in the clip, is there any way to circumvent this problem. Gorgeous cases no way to carry them to show off the superior PDA

Clean the threads with alcohol and use a liquid threadlocker. You can get them at any hardware store. It works. Loctite Blue is the generic description. There are several brands. Do NOT use Loctite RED, you'll never be able to get the screw out again.

OK, I found this post too late! I've lost my post to my rhinoskin belt clip. Does anyone know where I can buy another one (or dozen)? I looked at the saunders site but it looks like they only sell the replacement belt clips!

Thanks,

Hummm... just realized you want the post itself... if you write Saunders they should be able to help you out!

By the way... the Universal RhinoClip, has lasted over a month so far with no problems and daily use!

I'll never use a quick release clip again, it's how I lost my X5. I was wearing a long raincoat in a busy train station, never felt the clip release on my Piel Frama case, never heard the X5 hit the floor. When I went to the LIRR lost and found looking for my X5, you wouldn't believe the number of phones and PDA's there in quick release cases. I now use a relatively cheap horizontal case for my cell and X51v that my belt threads through . Virtually impossible for the case to separate from my waist unintentionally.
