2200mAh Vs 3300mAh Any Suggestions?
There is a $20.00US difference between these batteries at Aximcase. The 3300mAh is a BIG battery, almost too big. However, depending on how long it last, I would choose it over the 2200mAh. If anyone has used both of these batteries, could you please give you opinion on how long they last before running out.
The website doesn't give any time frames on how long they last.

My opinion is that the 3300 will last about 50% longer than the 2200, but that's pretty good considering the 3300 lasts AS MUCH AS 3 times as long as the standard 1100!

With a PPC2003 device, the 3300 SHOULD last more then 3 times the 1100. Due to everything being in RAM on ppc2003, enough battery life is reserved to last 72 hours when the unit turns itself off. Assuming (no facts, just an assumption) that it takes 250mAh for the unit to last 72 hours, that leaves only 950mAh for the 1100 battery, but 3050mAh for the 3300...more then 3 times as long.

If you plan to use a case, you need to consider whether you can find one that fits the 3300mah battery. I know there are some for the 2200mah battery. I use the Sena for the extended battery, but don't know if it would fit the 3300mah.

I use the 3300 for daily on my desk stuff. If I am going to be gone out of my study and traveling, I will use my 1100 in the Magn case. So, if I go cased it is the 1100 and uncased it is 3300.

I usually only get concerned about battery usage when I am doing air travel and trying to keep myself entertained with music and some internet but I have a desire now to try movies too. How fast will this kind of use consume an 1100 in an x51v? I had planned to get buy with two 1100s to keep the brick factor down. Should I consider an 1800 or 2200 to go with the 1100 instead? Normally I would need to ge four to five hours max out of the PDA.

Are there any hard reset issues associated with a battery change?

The 2200 battery really is not that bad, as far as brick goes. I don't even use my 1100 anymore.

I bought one of two cases available for my x51v from aximcases.com to fit the 3300 battery. Very nice to have! If its in your budget, I'd go for the 3300. I think it feels better in my hand too.

Well. I guess I will go with the 2200 battery and the Sena case and hope for the best. I will carry the charged 1100 with me for a backup. This would be the same battery setup that I used with my PDA phone.

I agree, the 2200 is not that big and it fits very nicely in a case

I use the 2200 all the time now with the Sena or Piel Frama cases

What I did...
Hey there,

Good to post for the first time. I know I found some 1100mAh
batteries for $12.50. What I did was buy three of them and
keep them in my travel case. I have a travel WIFI router that is
about as long as a credit card. I also have a compact flash
camera and 56K modem in case I have to dial to get internet.
I also picked up a thumb keyboard that slides onto the bottom
of the X50 for quick typing. All these items fit in a case about
the size of small novel case. I usually hook this onto my belt
when I travel. It's like having an electronic swiss army
knife . This also means I do not have to worry about the
carry on issue with planes. I can still take my backpack as
well. Right now I am looking at a solar panel backpack so I
never have to worry about my devices going dead. Yes, they do
make them. Well enough of my spill . Take care.

can you give details on where you found these 1100mAh batteries for $12.50? I'd be interested in a couple.

is the 2200 mah battery the size of 2 1100 mah? Because that is big compared to the mugen 1800 mAH. And doesnt the enhanced capacity on the mugen 1800 mAH battery make it comperable to the 2200?
