Advice: Don't use your beltclip while brushing off snow!
Yes, I should have known better. I had my X51v in my fairly new Magnum case on my beltclip while brushing the snow off my car to go to work. Next thing I knew, the PDA had fallen off the beltclip and into the snow. After searching frantically in the drifts, I found it. It was so slippery than I ended up dropping it twice before getting it back to the house. But I got it all dried off and it still works fine.
Those Magnum cases are really nice, but you have to check the tightness on that flimsy screw every once in a while to make sure it's still tight. I wish somebody could come up with a better design for a secure beltclip.

I like the NiteIze Universal PDA Holster, fits onto my belt, has pockets for my phone, Microdrive, Leatherman, and spare battery!

I lost a few cellphones and pagers that clip on. I use my pockets now. Just need to make sure lots don't use my coats.

Loctite will indeed lock the screw, but the next time you buy a case consider the Sena if you want a case with a belt clip. It has the best belt clip design of any case I've ever seen.

And remember, in an emergency, your credit card makes a better ice scraper than your SD or CF card.

My approach for $0.02. My Ax resides in a RhinoSkin. For business formal it's slipped into my inner jacket pocket; for business casual it's a hand-carry or in a sport coat pocket; and, days that I'm out in the field (worksite) it's holstered (RhinoSkin and all) in a neoprene padded pouch with velcro seal cover and belt loop. The sort of case meant for a slimline digital camera. The only thing I use the belt clip button mount on my RhinoSkin is to slip it on my vehicle mount for GPS use. :approve:

Snow? What is this "snow" you speak of? Is it anything like the blistering heat one experiences year-round where I live?

I might be tempted to try a belt clip just once. As long as I could be absolutely sure no other human being ever saw me with it on!

As far as I know, there is not a single good beltclip for a hard case on the market. Very frustrating. Glad your pda survived its baptism of snow.

I hope one of the hardcase manufacturers uses the Rivet system soon!
Here is a link to a store that has some of the parts for sale:
http://www.gadgetfreeks.com/accessor...elt-clips.html
I have it for my Vaja Phone Case and it works great, best belt clip ever made in my mind!
I also found this:
http://www.radioshack.com/sm-rivet-u...i-2123439.html
so you can add it to an existing case. I have never used the stick on version though so i can not comment on its security, but based on the one i have, i would think it would be still very good :)

When you're a stud - and you KNOW you're a stud... belt clips are cool. It's like when the Fonz wore glasses for the first time.
