Yes I'm using that and haven't had any problems, apart from the microdrive being impossible to remove from the Axim with my fingers (I need to use pliers to firmly grip the edge).

A lot of folks put a little tape "tag" on the microdrive so they can pull it out easier. Good luck.

Yes you can. I use the old tape trick to remove my microdrives. Take a piese of scotch tape and attach it to the back of the card, (Don't cover the little hole that says "Do Not Cover") and turn it back on itself. Makes a nifty little handle for taking it out easily.

I have had the 4gb microdrive for about 6 months now. Never a problem --- constantly putting things on an taking them off (use it for e-books and videos) -- I have also used the SD and CF slots simultaneously many many times --- never a problem.

Anybody been able to use an iPod-mini Microdrive? I remember the original stories that they use TrueIDE and current-gen Axims don't support it, but WM5 was supposed to support TrueIDE. That conversation has since died out, but has there been any developments?

Specifically, has anybody been able to get an iPod Mini 4GB or 6GB drive to work on an Axim WM5, or else a Seagate ST1 FW3.04?

I have been using 6GB Microdrive. No problem at all.
BTW, you can stick put a Scott tape folded in half to facilitate the pull-out

Has anyone been having trouble with the "disappearing card" problem associated with the WM5 upgrade like with regular cf cards?
