Hey guys...

Okay. Don't know if any of you have actually tried this! but i did it yesterday and i feel like i've learned the greatest thing in the world! now i have a charger at home and at the office!!!

You can use the desk stand WITHOUT plugging in a power supply and it will charge your axim through the USB port. Only catch is that you have turn the axim off fully. Now i don't know why it won't light up and tell you it can charge when the axims on... last night i had 3% battery left, shut it off, put it on the desk stand and this mourning it was 100%. I didn't even have the charge cable cause i had it in the office...

Hope this helps someone in need of multiple charges... save yourself $20... too bad i had alredy bought one...

This has already been reported before, but thanks for the reminder. The problem with charging on the cradle (with or without the AC adapter) is that it's bulky. For those who can just leave it on the desk at the office, etc., it's fine, but for those who move around a lot, a sync charger is still the way to go.

I believe we are talking about the same product. It's a very portable charger, but I do dislike the fact that the x50 has to be shut off to charge.

This is actually good news for me because then I can use the cradle at home and bring the power pack with me in my back pack for at work and I can have my Axim sync through Bluetooth and charge all day long at work. Then bring it home and sync it up at home then shut it off and charge it up via USB.

I know I've read people saying they don't work or shouldn't work or shouldn't be used etc but I have this cable which is $8 shipped and works fine for me. I had a similar cable the entire time with my X30 with never a problem. I keep my cradle and main charger at work and use this cable at home (bonus being I don't have to take the X51v out of its rhinoskin to use the sync cable. http://www.ppc4you.com/pages/12966.html
