IR Range, IR extender for x51v and PDAWin questions
Is there any IR extender available in SD card format? I have done my research and found http://www.ultramote.com/ as the only good one available, but it is a CF based extender. I am looking for an SD card, so that I can keep my CF slot free for storage.

PDAWin (http://www.pdawin.com/) has anyone used this software on Windows Mobile 5.0? Any issues? Is this the best available or are there any other good ones?

IR Range - What is the IR range for Axim x51v? Do we really need an IR extender? I need atleast 20feet range for my basement.

Please post your suggestions and experiences.

Thanks

The X51v has a pretty good IR unit in it. You'd probably be fine with the built in one. You can download the trial software and check the range in your basement to be sure before spending any money..

Are there any official numbers indicating the x51v IR range?

I will try the trial software, once i get my PDA

Still trying to find a good deal for an x51v. Lot of people here recently got it in the $245 - $280 range.

Love to get one soon.

its about 15-20ft as i remember

But download the trial and check it out

PDAwin is some of the best software in my mind as you can use the ccf skins for the phillips pronto remotes and even make your own...
check out www.remotecentral.com for more on ccf and pronto remotes

also, the ultramote extender does work with the pdawin software even though ultramote says it only works with their software
