Sena Cases - did they ever fix the dpad issue?

To people who recently bought a Sena case, do the newer ones have more space beneath the dpad?

I read in several reviews that the leather under the dpad was annoying, so was wondering if maybe they fixed that issue in more recent production runs?

I just bought a black leather Sena case 2 weeks ago. The case I received does not have the d-pad issue as the bottom has been trimmed to fit around it, providing lots of clearance.

I'm so close to buying one... Still so curious about the Aximsite Senas though - I was really hoping they'd get them out before Xmas. I have a $50 gift debit card someone gave me last week sitting here damnit. ;)

I just received the Sena extended battery case for the x50v, and it's great. The d-pad issue was resolved and my axim fits perfectly inside. Best of all, you can sync it right into the cradle!

I just received my Sena case too. No D-pad issue here. I love the case!! Very nice indeed.

I have the D-Pad issue, plus the metal portion that the magnet attaches to, on the interior of the case has somewhat worn through the lining and is rubbing against the finish of the unit, leaving a large gash on my unit. It's not as bad as it sounds, but its not cool nonetheless.

BTW, I just sent them a note about this and they better contact me shortly to have it replaced.

As a not-yet-Sena-owner I'm curious about the exposed corners. Every photo I see shows corners that look vulnerable to the elements, bumps and scratches b/c they are completely unprotected. Help me get over my fear.

Steve, I've had my axim in a Sena case for a year and there are no scratches or marks on the exposed corners.

Same here. Had since March. I have it in my pocket everyday, use it everyday. Have dropped it a few times (not often) and I even sleep with it in my bed nightly, no joke ;).
