Case Question
I'm only asking this because my experience with my iPod has made me paranoid about scratches. Will the slipcase included with an x51v scratch my screen? Once again, I only bother to ask because my iPod actually got scratched with its included case. Thanks for the help!

I don't *think* it will scratch it. I used mine for a couple of months with no incident. Course, I would highly recommend looking at other options for a case since the included one doesn't add that much protection to it. I currently have the Rhinoskin and absolutely love it. There are tons of other options. Search around. Good luck!

Forget the included one. Slipping it on and off constantly will get old fast. Get a screen protector and a case that holds your machine while you work with it. I recommend an aluminum one. Aximcases.com is a good place to start. Welcome aboard matey.

Yeah, and I'm planning on getting a ClearTouch Crystal. I just needed to know 'cause I'm going to a dinner party that I plan to take it to, and I just don't like to keep things bare in my pocket.
Thanks!

Plus you have to take it out to charge. Take a look at something like this later.

Good choice in screen protectors. I just recently switched over to an invisible shield but used clear touch crystal for a couple of years.

The good thing about cases like Rhinoskin ones are that they leave spaces in the cases for everything you need (IR, charging, stylus, card slots, etc). Plus they are extremely durable. I actually use both (depending on what I am doing at the time away from home). If you use the supplied slip-cover-thing long enough, it becomes much easier to insert the Axim into. I was a little weary at first as well, but after a lot of use it gets easier to shove it in there. Nonetheless, screen protectors are a lifesaver and if you back that up with a hardcase you are in good shape.

I used the stock slip-case for almost a year, with no problems. No evidence of wear, though the rubber feet at the top came off (common problem). New case flips open and I can operate the Axim with it in place. If you're not fussy, stick with the stock slip case. Also, do get a good screenprotector.
