SD card question??
Hi

I recently purchased a SD 1G compact flash card the original one not the ultra type 2. Somehow when I inserted it into the axim nothing show up and i could not find it anywhere. did i purchase the wrong card? does the axim only recognize type 2 but not the regular san disk compact flash card. the axim was able to recognize the secure digital memory card so does that mean there's something wrong with my axim compact flash card slot or i just purchase the wrong card?

please help because i am a very very new user and not very tech wise. thank you so much.

thank you,
huong

It accepts both type I and type II cards. Try a soft reset after you insert the CF card.

go for the soft reset. If you have WM5 expect alot of these. (unless your like me and never had the missing card problem after tweaking wm5)

It might be solved by trying the new rom version. When I still had WM5 on my x50v I noticed that Activesync (automatically turning on every 5 minutes) caused the battery drain problem. I don't know if thats the case for you though.

really easy fix for active sync. just goto options and disable USB connections, that way it won't try to sync every 5 min and kill your batter. Just enable USB connections whenever u actually wanna sync.

As far as CF issues, i have the same problem. WM5 seriously blows. I have to soft reset my x50v every 5 or so uses. such a pain in the ass. At least soft reset gets the card recognized. havent tried any wm5 tweaking yet, need to.
