Upgrade your Sena Case for 50% off!
If you bought a Sena Case with the D-Pad issue (can't really use the down button because the case isn't cut right, annoying), you can get a new case for 50% off!

Read the last reply from Sena in my post below:

http://www.aximsite.com/boards/showthread.php?t=110944

So for around $25 you can get a new case and probably sell your old one for that price.

This email was only addressed to you. I am not so sure this is an offer to all Sena owners.

I don't know, but I am sure gonna find out - considering I emailed them about this issue back in April and they claimed there was no problem with the design of the case and they had no intention of altering the design

Greetings and Salutations,
1st post. Is the Sena leather case with extended battery that is available on aximcase.com affected by this "design" flaw? I'm trying to determine if I should purchase this case or the aluminum case with extended battery. Thank you for your assistance.

To my understanding, anything that was manufactured recently should not have the design flaw. Unless you somehow get very old stock, you should be fine.

Yes, the email was only addressed to me, but she refers to the policy below. If it is a policy, then it is not only a one time decision. Referring to a one time decision as 'policy' would be a very bad business practice.

Also, it uses the verbage 'SENA CUSTOMERS'. If they were referring to me and only me, it would have read, 'this customer'.

I followed up with management today about my response to your e-mail yesterday and this is the response I received from the Sena Cases management today.

“We have a new version of the same case with some upgrades. However, this design change does not qualify for a free exchange under our warranty. Sena customers are qualified to receive the upgraded version of the Sena X50V, X51V case for 50% off of its original price."

Thank you very much. I appreciate it. Looks like I will be ordering the Black and Red with extended battery case then.

Good point. Hope it works out for everyone then.

I guess that's good.. but personally, I don't want to spend $75 for a case.. just to fix the button issue. I will follow the route taken previously by another reader who used a nail clipper to notch the leather under the button slightly and then used a black marker to cover the exposed leather.. worked well in the photos from that post a year ago.. good luck!

I don't think that's fair. I think it should be $25 plus shipping WITHOUT sending your case. What are they going to do with your case anyway? Throw it away? Plus you have to pay to send it...

Anyhow, please post pics of the difference. Has anyone already done so? I haven't seen them.

Any chance you could take a picture of the front of it where the cut out for the buttons are?

So a company sells a case for a particular model that does not fit properly. To solve the problem you need to pay to have them replace it with a working case?

With that type of customer service, I will NEVER by a Sena case.

Right, I agree. If they sold you another for $25, so you could sell your original on eBay and make out even, that would be a different story.
