Innopocket Mag, Difficulty getting out of case?
I'm considering purchasing the Inno Magnesium case, but I've heard some talking about being frustrated at how difficult it is to get out of the case, for things like changing the battery, hotsync, etc.

I'm wondering if those are fluke reports, or how pervasive that problem is?

I understand people to love this case, but if that were such an issue, I can't imagine people would be too pleased.

I'd love to hear from Inno Mag users on this. If you guys could weigh in, I'd sure appreciate it.

Mine is tight but no problem taking it out. BTW you do not need to take it out to charge it with the adapter only if you put it into the cradle.

I just bought one but my girly little hands are pretty weak and the two or three times I've tried getting it out, hubby has had to help. This is really impractical, so I put mine up on ebay. If you have strong thumbs I think you would be all right.

It is a tight fit but I have had no problems getting it in and out. Just use your thumbs and give it a good push!

I have this case and I love it ... but there are a couple of things to consider before buying it:

- the case is strong and sexy.
- but it's a tight fit (as it should be)
- getting the axim out of the case is difficult.
- actually, it's a pain to get it out most of the time so it's best for people who wish to leave their Ax in all the time.
- that means people who prefer to Bluetooth sync/sync cable and charge their Ax through their sync cable and don't use extra batteries.
- if you still really want to use your cradle then you will have to mod your cradle which isn't everyone's cup of tea ... but it has been done.
- this is all problematic at times because the regular 1100mah battery may not be enough for everyone. Some may want to upgrade to the 1800mah or 2200mah or even the 3300mah battery.
- that means looking at other cases like the Sena, Piel ... instead of the Inno Mag.
- if you still want the Inno Mag that means you'll probably want to invest in something like a battery extender which is a decent way to add capacity.
- keep in mind that i've had to slightly file down the sync cable (Dell) in order to fit it into the Inno Mag hole. 3rd party ones may fit out of the box.

Hope this all helps.

Yes, this is very helpful. Boy, can't the case, being metal, be adjusted a little bit for a looser fit? Or is that not realistic?

I have the same case. It is tight but not difficult to get it out. It is a very nice case. If it is too loose, the Axim might fall out. That would not be good.

I have no problems getting the Axim out of the case. Take it out several times a day to put it in cradle. I think the protection the Innopocket provides over a leather case is worth taking it in and out of the metal case to sync. But I agree if a bigger battery is on your list, cross off the Innopocket.

I know mine loosened up with time, yet it is still tight enough to hold it in. It'll be fine.

I just ordered two of those cases and both are tight, i wouldn't say it's hard to get them out though ? I'm sure the case will loosen with age, but I'm 110% happy with it !!

Question and problems with the case
Hi everyone, I had this case for about a month now but there are a few problems. First, does anyone have a problem with the SD card leaving a indentation on the screen which does not go away. Second, when the axim is out of the case I can see on the back left that the case left a scratch mark from D to edge where it meets the silver part of the front. Third, I noticed that on the top left front next to the mic, the case dented the silver part. Does anyone have this problem? Thanx

Have you dropped it? When do you put your Axim during the day? I have had my case 1 week now and nothing of those happened to me. I put my Axim inside my pants pocket. When I get to my office, I put it on my desk.

Just received mine today and absolutely no problem getting it in or out! I really like the way the hinge covers the CF & SD cards too.

Also, my SD card does not touch the screen.

UPDATE: 01.16.06

I have noticed that the upper edge of my SD card is leaving a mark on my screen protector where it's slightly raised... so I no longer use the storage slot.

I just emailed innopocket about the damage that it did to my axim.

Does anyone think they can do anything for me?

Steve
