I am trying to install the bluetooth keyboard to my Axim X50v and I get the following error message.

"application manager cannot install this application on your movile device due to an invalid setup file. reinstall and try again"

I have contacted Dell support, but they tell me to install the file from the website, which I have previously downloaded. Since I told them that file doesn't want to work, they are sending me a new disk.

is there something already installed that is causing this error?

Use the ThinkOutside driver. If you upgraded to WM 5.0 then use the X51v drivers as it is more suited for WM 5.0.

Return either the old or the new. Ethics and besides, Dell will charge you for the replacement if the older PDA isn't returned.

There will be a shipping label in the box, prepaid return.

Just call DHL for a pickup!

Load them both up with software and your keyboard and see if one works better than the other THEN send one of them back!

of course I was going to send back the axim, I only have ONE keyboard. my point was how amazingly inept their tech support has been with this product. they should just refer all users to this forum. unfortunately I had to reload my entire handheld just last month from another issue. live and learn...
